Ed Sheeran is engaged to his girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn.

The Grammy-winning singer announced his engagement on Instagram this morning. Posting a photo of them both, he revealed they got engaged right before the new year. He said they are “very happy and in love” and that their “cats are chuffed as well".

Sheeran said last year that his song “Perfect,” which is Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, was inspired by Cherry. He also warmed hearts all over the world when he took off his shoes for her and held her heels in his hands while he walked in just his socks.

Sheeran and Seaborn were friends when the two attended school in Suffolk, England. They reconnected years later.
