38-year-old woman who gave birth to quadruplets in Katsina State, dies four days after delivery

The woman, who was delivered of quadruplets at General Hospital, Malumfashi, Katsina State last week died on Sunday morning, October 29.
Gaje Zubairu, 38, gave birth to the quadruplets, 3 boys and a girl, through emergency CS on Tuesday, October 24. One of the children died later that day.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr . AbdulHamed Abdullahi, who confirmed the development to Northern City News, said the woman died about 11am on Sunday.
Sources at the hospital said Gaje was doing well after the operation and plans were being made for the naming of the babies.
"Gaje had already scaled though the operation stress and we were looking forward to the naming ceremony of the babies," a source said.
“A good Samaritan had even purchased the ram that is to be slaughtered on Wednesday for the naming ceremony. We were just alerted this morning from our duty post to her sudden restlessness and few minutes later , she was dead."
Gaje has been buried according to Islamic rites in her village, Gora Dansaka.
